It’s not a secret to anyone who knows me that my jewelry selections and preferences tend to be on the… Quiet side. My engagement ring and wedding band are plain white gold and diamonds and I wear the same Tiffany Aquamarine by the Yard necklace and simple diamond studs almost everyday. I rarely change up the look because it’s just so simple. So plain. So Boooooring. Boring even when you put a margarita in my hand!
When I do change up my jewelry, I often turn to turquoise pieces to mix it up. The color really works with my skin tone and I always get tons of compliments (which is the whole point of jewelry, right?). I actually wore one chunky turquoise necklace so often that it broke… And it took me almost 2 years to find a replacement that I liked. But it’s a necklace I only wear with certain things, on certain occasions and definitely not something I wore everyday.

When I realized that I’m not getting any younger recently (yeah, I’m old) I decided that I needed to mix things up. Live while I’m (relatively) young! So I started looking for ways to subtly incorporate more of the “mix it up” into my everyday look. It’s around this time that I discovered Larimar Bliss and their collection of turquoise jewelry from the crystal clear waters of the Dominican. And EVERYONE knows I love the ocean.
Larimar is found only in the Caribbean waters of the Dominican Republic where it’s said to be a part of the legendary Atlantis. An ancient prophet once declared that what made Atlantis special was its blue gem that bears healing powers. Since it’s created by volcanic activity, crystal lovers and spiritual healers also began seeing the gem as a powerful throat chakra stone that aids in expression of emotions and balances water and fire energy. – Larimar.com
